Nolan Heimann LLP congratulates client Douglas Chironno on the issuance of his new U.S. patent for Haut-Ties®, a versatile fabric band that functions both as a comfortable everyday headband and a stretchable resistance band for exercise. The patent — officially titled Multifunctional Hair Band and Exercise Device and Method of Use (U.S. Patent No. 12,582,861) — is the result of Doug's ongoing commitment to making fitness more accessible, practical, and integrated into daily life.

Doug Chironno is a fitness professional and entrepreneur whose work centers on helping people build sustainable, effective workout habits. Haut-Ties® is a natural extension of that mission: a product that meets people where they are, whether they're heading to the gym or simply going about their day.

At the heart of the invention is a specially engineered, two-layer fabric construction that allows the band to stretch in a controlled and resilient way. This layered design distributes tension more effectively than traditional resistance bands, improving durability while maintaining the comfort and flexibility expected of a wearable accessory. The result is a multi-use product that moves seamlessly between everyday use and functional fitness — lowering the barrier to exercise by keeping the tool on hand at all times.

Partner Adam Diament, a member of Nolan Heimann's patent practice, represented Mr. Chironno in connection with the patent.
